I'm still updating pics so please be patient. Moving a blog is a lot more work than I thought, but it's worth it!
Get Well My Friend....
Today, I'm sharing a Get Well card I created for a sweet friend.
I usually share my "cute and whimsical" projects from my illustrations but, I am also huge lover of flowers and Altenew definitely is my go to for Florals.
So today's project had to be different.
It's one of those situations when you feel helpless because you can't help someone you care about, but you wan to do something for them.
A handmade card almost always brings a smile to someone's face and my friends are definitely in need of some heartfelt smiles!
Rest, Relax, Recover...
So for this card, I decided to use Altenew's Get Well stamp set. I love the daisies and the tea and honey tray in this set. It was perfect.
I stamped the image with black ink and colored them with Copic Markers.
I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
Be sure to leave a comment, if you have enjoyed this project.

Today, I’m back with another colorful card I created using Ink n’ Splatter’s “Beary Wishes” Stamp & Die Set and our new “Honeycomb” Stencil
I don’t normally create CAS cards. I actually love the ones that are done well and with a purpose. I just don’t think about creating them because I seem to have an uncontrollable urge to keep building on my cards..ok I said it!
Well, slap my hand and make me stop here! Even as I look at my card I see many other opportunities to ass and build! Which is why, I used this Honeycomb stencil to create a few more cards (coming soon) where I gave into my addiction!
Technique…
I ink blended my background using the Honeycomb stencil and distress oxide inks (full supply list below) and I colored my Bear image with comic markers.
Always Take Time to Smell the Flowers…
I stamped my sentiment, “Always Take Time to Smell the Flowers” from the Beary Wishes Stamp Set.
There are several sentiments in the Beary Wishes Stamp Set but I chose this one because it seems fitting at the moment.
It reminds me to live in the moment because every moment is precious!
I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

This stamp set has 3 adorable dragons, sentiments, and extras to spark your creativity for many different occasions, and of course your love of dragons.
For my card base, I cut and folded a piece of white cardstock and attached another piece of Painted Crush pattern paper to the front leaving a small border all the way around.
Putting it All Together…
I attached my blended, and die cut, panel to the main base of my card with double-sided adhesive. I attached my dragon to the lower portion of my blended panel, and my sentiment upper mid panel, also with dimensional adhesive.
Pattern Flowers…
I die cut some flowers from the same pattern paper as I used for my card panel and dotted their centers with small beads.
I attached a couple pattern paper flowers on the upper left corner and another lower right corners of my card.
A few glittery enamel dots and my Extraordinary Day Dragon Card was finished.
I hope I have inspired you to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

I created this card using Digi Doodle Studios“Bumble Garden” Digi Stamp set. This set is so sweet! It features 4 adorable Bumble Bee images, several bumble bee elements, and Bee related sentiments to spark your creativity for many different occasions.
I cut a piece of Kraft Cardstock using a deckle trimmer for the main base of my card and attached my larger slimline with pattern paper. Then I attached my water colored slimline on top of the pattern paper panel with double-sided foam.
I hope I have inspired you today to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
Today I’m working on ink stamping another beautiful set of Altenew flowers with the appearance of watercolors.
Coral Charm…
This stunning stamp set is called “Build a Flower: Coral Charm”. It has a gorgeous flower with many layers, and it also has several pretty little blossoms and leaves.
I started off by stamping the solid base layers with “Shades of Purple” and then built up my flowers layer by layer with the coordinating Crisp Dye Inks in that set. Altenew includes a valuable layering guide with their stamp sets to make stamping the flower layers easier to line up. So don’t be afraid to try!
I attached my “Shades of Purple” floral panel on to another piece of smoky gray cardstock and then attached to my card base with double-sided adhesive to give it some dimension.
I cut out my unicorn, and the little rainbow, using the coordinating “Unicorn Wishes Dies” along with a few other dies from a few of my favorite stamp supply companies (full supply list below)
Coloring…
Once my images were cut out, I colored them with Copic markers.
I also blended my sky background using the “Cloudy Day” stencil with distress oxide inks, on a stitched white circle that serves as the background for my sweet little Unicorn image.
Die Cuts and more…
I die cut two of the little clouds from the “Unicorn Wishes Dies” and added some shadow color with watercolors.
I also die cut two scalloped stitched circles. One using a piece of pattern paper from the “Rainbow Bliss” coordinating paper pack and the other from white cardstock.
My adorable unicorn image, along with the super cute little rainbow, was then mounted on top of the cloudy day stitched white circle with adhesive dots to give my card a little more dimension.
Embellishments…
Not too many embellies this time…I don’t know how I controlled myself, but I only added a few fabulously sparkly purple enamel dots and my card was finished!
I hope I have inspired you to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

Orchids are just stunning flowers, aren’t they? This stamp set definitely does not disappoint.
This is another one of those projects where I seem to have lost all track of time while creating.
My full supply list can be found below.
So Let’s Get Started…
One of the great advantages of using Altenew’s layering stamp sets is that you don’t have to be an artist, or an experienced colorist, or even an experienced stamper to create gorgeous handmade cards.
Their visual layering guides, that come with the stamp sets, make stamping so simple, and allows anyone, of every level of expertise, to achieve elegant results.
For this project I stamped these lovely Cattleyas using the layering stamps, included with the set.
Altenew’s layering stamp sets include an outline stamp, a base color stamp, and one or two detail stamps, depending on design.
I stamped the orchids three times on white cardstock, and chose three shades of beautiful blue from Altenew’s Sweet Dreams Dye Ink, for my focal Cattleyas.
Then I cut the flowers out with the coordinating Cattleya Die, and stamped a sentiment from Altenew’s Heartfelt Stamp Set on a separate piece of cardstock.
I also die cut a crossroads embellishment that I planned on using as an added element for my card.
Building a Floral Background…
I wanted my background to pop without taking away from the blue Cattleyas, so I decided to partially stencil a white panel using Altenew’sLeaf Stencil and distress oxide ink.
I spritzed the stenciled background lightly with water to create some texture.
Once my stenciling, and stamping, was finished, I spritzed a little of one of my favorites, Ocean Waves Metallic Ink Spray.
Love Love LOVE this ink spray!!!!
I also spritzed just a small amount of Jet Black Ink. At that point, I really liked my background, but I felt like it needed a splash of contrasting color to make it pop, so I splattered a little pink watercolor droplets using Altenew’s Watercolors.
Putting it All together…
With all my components finished, it was time assemble my card. I decided on a black textured card base which I cut to size 5×7.
I trimmed my stenciled background and attached it to my black card base with a foam sheet to give it stability and dimension.
After my panel was in place, I attached my crossroads embellishment in the upper right-hand corner.
I arranged my Cattleyas and offset them slightly to the lower right-hand side of my card, and trimmed off the excess flowers, with very sharp scissors, to fit my panel.
I attached my sentiment and added a few black sequins and…
