Happy Meow-lloween

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome back to my Studio!

I hope you followed me here from my old blog! It was time for a new look, a little change, a new Blog home and just because... a new Studio name too!

So, before I jump into the Winter/ Holiday Season, I wanted to share one more Halloween card with you!

Sweet & Spooky…

Today, I am using Ink n' Splatter's Sweet & Spooky Stamp Set once again because there are so many cute images in this set to play with!

Kitty Pumpkin…

Here’s my “Kitty Pumpkin” from Ink n’ Splatter’s “Sweet & Spooky” Stamp Set.

(Inspiration Motivation) I grew up fearing cats because I was told they were scary and untrustworthy. But, as an adult, I grew to LOVE them and have had few of my own over the years.

Today, I get the pleasure of being "mommy" to my son's adorable, yet feisty, gorgeous calico. She's a crazy cat and I LOVE her so much!

I try to incorporate them in many of my illustrations and Halloween is a fitting theme to add a few!

Halloween Pattern Paper…

I also cut out a few different Halloween inspired pieces of Spooky Nights Pattern Paper and Wonky Halloween Pattern Paper for this Halloween card.

Happy Meow-lloween…

I the stamped “Happy Meow-lloween” from the Sweet & Spooky Stamp Set and cut it out with a ragged edge cutter.

I love to use cute little puns with cute images...it brings many smiles!

Sparkle…

I finished off my card with a few little coordinating sequins to add some Sparkle and interest!

A Boo-tiful Night

Hello crafty friends!

Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so happy you are here with me today!

It’s New Release Week over at Ink n’ Splatter and I’m excited for you see my team’s card creation inspiration using our NEW “Sweet & Spooky” Stamp Set! So be sure to join our INS Stamps Facebook Community and/or check out our INS Blog to see all of their fabulous creations.

Today, I decided to jump in and share a simple mini slimline Halloween card I created using this super cute new Halloween stamp, coordinating die set, and our Wonky Halloween Paper

I Ink blended Ink n’ Splatter‘s Cloudy Day Stencil for the inside background as well as the front for my sentiment, Have a “Boo-tiful Night” on a stitched cut out.

I stamped my images, and sentiment with embossing ink and the sprinkled them with heat embossing powder to give them a clean crisp look. Once my images were set, I colored them with Copic Markers (full supply list below)

I really enjoyed coloring these little Halloween cuties..so many possibilities! You can even pair them up with Ink n’ Splatters’ other Halloween Stamp Sets.

I will be sharing a few more Halloween cards soon, but…in the meantime….

Believe in Fairies?

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to my Studio!

It’s NEW RELEASE DAY over at Digi Doodle Studios! Do you believe in Fairies?

We just love Pixies and Fairies here in the Studio! Our New May Release features Pixies & Fairies!

“Fairy Elida”..

So today I’m working with a new image called, “Fairy Elida”.

I wanted to make her look as if she was fluttering above my card, so I printed cut and colored my fairy 3x and then added lots of sparkle!

Then I attached them with double-sided adhesive to give my Fairy lots of dimension.

Card Base…

I folded and cut a piece of white cardstock for my card base. Then I die cut a stitched panel from Digi Doodles “Pixie Dust” Pattern Paper and another smaller stitched panel from white card stock.

Do You Believe in Fairies?

I printed a sentiment from Digi Doodles “Pixie Wishes” Sentiment Pack on the smaller stitched white cardstock panel.

I printed it before I cut my panel out and I also colored it to coordinate with my Fairy.

Putting it all Together…

This is a basically simple card to create. Once all my panels were cut I attached them to my folded white card base with double-sided adhesive.

It’s All in the Details…

I added a bunch of die cut leaves that I also cut from the “Pixie Dust” Pattern Paper Collection and arranged them all around the bottom of my card to look as if Fairy Elida was fluttering above her Fairy Garden.

I added some light touches of watercolor to bring in more color to my background. It’s a little hard to see, but I also added a little shimmer and sparkle to my background and then placed a few sequins around to draw you into Fairy Elida’s garden.

And with that…my card was finished!

The Sweetest Honeysuckle

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so glad you are here today!

Altenew AECP…

I’m so happy to be back again with another wonderful project (AECP Layering 2:2) for the Altenew’s Educator Program!

Today I’m working on layering another fabulously beautiful set from Altenew for “The Sweetest Honeysuckle” mini slimline card.

Build A Flower…

Today I’m working with a GEORGEOUS Stamp Bundle, “Build A Flower: Honeysuckle Layering Stamp Set”

Color Palette…

I decided to work with a softer color palette using Altenew‘s Crisp Dye Inks for my card today!

I started off by stamping the outlines with black crisp dye ink and then built up my flowers layers with “Pink Diamond” & “Orange Sorbet Crisp Dye Inks”. Then I die cut the honeysuckles with the coordinating die from that stamp set.

Once my flowers were stamped, I stamped some leaves and flower buds, also from the “Build a Flower: Honeysuckle Layering Stamp Set” with “Frayed Leaf” & “Forest Glades” on to a piece of white cardstock and cut the cardstock using a mini slimline die.

Stenciling…

For my background, I masked my stamped flower buds and leaves and then blended distress inks using Altenew‘s halftone circle stencil on the background.

Card Base…

For the base of my card, I die cut another piece of white cardstock, and a larger piece of Kraft cardstock, using the mini slimline die, to layer beneath my stamped piece.

Thanks…

For my sentiment, I die cut a beautiful Fancy “Thanks” Sentiment from black cardstock

Putting it All Together…

I attached the white cardstock die cut to the larger piece of Kraft cardstock. Then I attached my stamped/stenciled panel with double-sided adhesive. Then I placed my die cut honeysuckles on top of the stamped panel and added a few beautiful black and gold sequins for my finishing touches.

And with that, my card was finished.

Puppy Hugs

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to my Studio!

Today I am sharing another loving slimline card!

Quick Illustration Inspiration Back Story…

We recently adopted an 8yr old rescue puppy. Truth be told, I had no plans of adopting another dog at this time because my aging Bella has certain health conditions that require a lot of attention.

I am very much an animal lover, so when someone approached me with this little rescue puppy’s story, I just could not turn away.

Needless to say, she came with A LOT of “baggage” including much fear and insecurity! But I’m happy to note that we are working through it all…at her pace…and can I just say, I LOVE HER!!!

My love for my pets is definitely the inspiration for this illustration, as is many other images in my Studio!

Tabitha’s Puppy Hugs…

So, for my card today, I am using “Tabitha’s Puppy Hugs” from my Digi Doodle Studios

and a couple of beautiful pattern papers from my “Love is in the Air” Digi Paper Collection

Coloring…

I sized, printed and cut my image out with my die cutting machine. Then I colored it with Copic Markers (full supply list below)

Slimlines & Stitches…

I die cut a stitched mini slimline, from white cardstock, for part of my base. I also crinkle cut two pattern papers, one smaller than the other.

Then I cut and folded another piece of white cardstock for my main card base and attached my black pattern paper to cover it completely.

I Love You…

I printed my sentiment, “I Love You” from Digi Doodles “Love& Hugs” Sentiment Collection on white cardstock…

…and cut it out with a stitched heart die. I also die cut a larger heart from my pink pattern paper and attached my sentiment to it with double-sided adhesive.

Putting it All Together…

I attached my white stitched panel to my pink pattern paper and then to my card base with double-sided adhesive.

Then I attached “Tabitha’s Puppy Hugs” on the lower portion of the white panel and my sentiment to the upper left portion of the white panel with double-sided adhesive.

A Few Extras…

Since my image was attached with double-sided adhesive, I was able to lightly paint a little watercolor behind my image to add some texture to my project.

Then I added a few black enamel dots and a few super cute pink sequins in various places on my card and with that, my lovable “Puppy Hugs” card was finished!

All of Me Loves All of You

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to my Studio!

Today I am sharing a super loving slimline card in keeping with the Love and Friendship theme that surrounds the month February.

Bunnie Dew…

For this card, I chose to work with Digi Doodle Studios precious “Bunnie Dew” Digi Stamp.

I couldn’t resist! I mean who doesn’t love bunnies?!

Side Note: Digi Stamps are a great option for paper crafters who like to resize their images to fit their projects…not to mention the storage of digis are effortless. They can easily be stored in folders on computers or external drives, etc…

So Let’s Get Started…

To begin, I sized, printed, and cut my images using my die cutting machine. I also used the flower elements from Digi Doodle Studios “Bumble Garden” Pairables Digi Stamp Set

Then I colored this little furry adorb, and the daisies, using Copic Sketch Markers (full supply list below)

Slimlines & Stitches…

I die cut a couple of stitched mini slimlines, from white cardstock, for part of my base.

Background…

I cut a piece of white cardstock and embossed it using a beautiful blossom embossing folder.

I wanted to dress up both of my backgrounds a little, so I decided to use Ink n’ Splatter “Honey Bee Sweet” Paper Pack for the larger slimline…

All of Me Loves All of You…

I printed my sentiment “All of Me Loves All of You” from the “Digi Doodle Studios “Love n’ Hugs” Sentiment Collection and cut it out using a stitched circle die.

Putting it All Together…

I cut a piece of Kraft Cardstock using a deckle trimmer for the main base of my card and attached my larger, white cardstock slimline and then attached the pattern paper on top of that with double-sided foam.

Then I attached my watercolor, embossed slimline on top of the pattern paper panel with double-sided foam.

Once my base layers were in place, I attached “Bunnie Dew” and the daisies, to the lower portion of my slimline with double-sided adhesive.

Then my sentiment on a piece of die cut pattern paper, attached it to the upper left corner of my card and finished it off with a few glitter dots.

And with that, my loving slimline card was finished!
