First let me wish all of you, and your gentlemen, father’s, and father’s to be, a very Happy Father’s Day! I hope you, and your families, have a wonderful day filled with love, laughter, and many new memories!
Choice, Preference or Standard…
Many people have asked when sending a card to a father, brother, uncle, son etc.. should they send one with a boy/man on the front of the card, or a girl/woman?

IMHO…
I don’t believe there is any hard and fast rule. I think it really depends on the one sending the message, as well as, the message being sent.
If your message is for a boy, for example…“You’re a Big Boy Now” then you may certainly you want to send a card with a masculine figure on the front.
Just as if you are sending a Birthday, or Father’s Day, card to a man…a masculine card is almost always the preferred choice…

However, on the flip side of the card, so to speak, as was my thoughts for this card, a feminine image could certainly be used to say “Happy Father’s Day” …if your intention is to have it represent a girl or woman giving the message.
A Playful Message…
I decided to use Lea & Dodi to give a playful message to represent me. I don’t live close by…so I’m popping in on this special day to wish a Happy Father’s Day!

I chose this sweet image for many reasons…I love Lea’s long flowing hair and her sweet smile. She is also surrounded by “potentially” colorful flowers, which I also enjoy! And… her adorable favorite furry friend, Dodi, is standing beside her, as my sweet little Bella always stands by my side.
Although I decided to use Lea & Dodi as my feminine featured image, I created the rest of the card with a much more masculine vibe.
The background papers come from my Digi Doodles “On the Road” Digi Paper Pack. A few of the card making papers have images of cars, tire tracks and gears, as used on this card.

I also kept a CAS design for this card, which actually, was a challenge for me! If you know me at all, or my design styles, you already figured out I’m an “embellishment junkie”!
That being said, I have to admit, I really enjoy the simplicity of CAS card and can completely appreciate that design style!
Whether you are a CAS designer, or a more intricate designer aka…”embellishment junkie”, like me, it’s always fun to try other styles and test your creativity…you just may surprise yourself!
Once again, a BIG Happy Father’s Day to you and your family! Enjoy a day of peace and the company of those you love!
