Hello Friends!

Welcome back to my Studio!

Ahh! A Sweeter Place….

It’s been a very unusual year, to say the least, hasn’t it? A sweeter place might sound wonderful to you at this very moment.

A sweeter place might be a time of innocence, a fond memory, an accomplishment, a place beside the one you love. Or maybe, you are already in your sweeter place right now.

Heartwarming…

I can think of moments when I was young, playing in the snow, for hours and hours, with my siblings and friends, and living in the moment without expectation.

A sweeter place will warm your heart and make you smile.

And…this is what I hope to bring through each one of my illustrations and creative projects I share here in my studio.

Guest Designing…

Today, I am super excited to be Guest Designing for Copic for Alle. This is a wonderful group of creatives sharing their Copic creations, holding challenges, and inspiring the card-making community.

The December theme for Copic for Alle is “Red”

Bianca Snow..

I just released a few new products in December so I decided to create with a couple of them.

This is “Bianca Snow”. She really does represent those heartwarming memories of a sweeter place.

So Let’s get Started…

I began by sizing, printing, and cutting my image using my die cutting machine. I slightly offset my cut of approximately 0.035

Then, I colored Bianca using Copic Sketch Markers (full supply list below)

I also printed my Sentiment out on a piece of white cardstock and blended it by using distress oxides. Then, I spattered the blended panel with water to give an appearance of snow in the background

Once my panel and my image was colored, I began die cutting several branches from white cardstock.

I also die cut a stitched rectangle to use as a frame and placed it over the tree branches.

For my card base, I used white cardstock and printed out some digi papers from my new “Gentle Winter” Digi Paper Pack

I attached my blended panel, tree branches and frame on the base of my card and attached Bianca with double-sided foam tape to give my card some dimension. I added a couple of die cut snowflakes and embellished them with enamel dots.

I added extra snow to my background panel using a white gel pen and my card was finished.

I hope I have inspired you today to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

Happy Crafting…
