Hello Friends!
Welcome back to my Studio!
Today I am sharing a super cute shaker card with you all!

Little Love Birds…
I created this card using Digi Doodle Studios “Little Love Birds” Digi Stamp. Aren’t they precious? These little cuties are so versatile. They can be used for so many seasons and occasions just by changing the colors, background, or scenery!
So Let’s Get Started…
To begin, I sized, printed, and cut my image using my die cutting machine.
Then I colored these little cuties using Copic Sketch Markers.
Tip: If you plan on coloring with markers, you may want to use paper designed for that medium. It really does make a difference when it comes to blending and bleeding. For more info on paper, visit my article on Artist Paper in my Cool Crafty Tools Section

Color Palette…
I chose a bright and cheerful color palette of pink, yellow, and orange because I wanted my image to stand out against my “Honey BEE Sweet” decorative paper, and… I just love these colors together!

I actually offer these pattern paper designs as digi paper from Digi Doodle Studios HERE, and also as physical paper from my physical stamp line on Ink n’ Splatter HERE. It’s a beautiful pack of colorful designs. I used the physical paper for this project.
Shakin’ It…

I LOVE shaker cards! I love creating them and admire all the many fabulous shaker cards that others have created! Why?…
- They are so fun to create
- They can big, small, or any in size in between
- Impossible not to shake
- Freedom to fill with just about anything
- No Rules…JUST FUN!

Window Dressing…
I die cut several adorable scallop stitched rectangles to create my shaker well. I glued each one together and attached them to a larger scallop rectangle. Then I did a little window dressing and filled my shaker well with loving extras (full supply list below).
Once filled the shaker well, I glued a piece of acetate between the last two layers and sealed the window to my shaker well.
Tip: Pay attention to your layers to be sure your well is sealed all the way around without any openings to prevent your shakers from leaking or spilling out.

If Friends were Flowers…
I printed my sentiment from Digi Doodles “Budding Friends” Digi Sentiment Pack on a piece of white cardstock and then die cut it with a super cute, stitched banner die.

Putting it All Together…
My card base is a 4.25 x 5.5 folded and cut from white cardstock. I attached the pattern paper to the white card base and then I attached the shaker on the top center of the pattern paper with adhesive foam to give my card dimension.

I secured my Little Love Birds just inside the first layer of the window trim.
I attached my sentiment with adhesive foam at the bottom of my front panel.
A Few Loving Extras…
To tie my Little Love Birds card together, I added a few “Loving Extras” of pink hearts randomly placed around my card and die cut a precious heart vine from white cardstock and tucked them under the sides of my shaker window.

And with that, my Little Love Birds card was finished.
I hope I have inspired you today to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

Happy Crafting…
