Hello Friends!

Welcome back to my Studio!

Isn’t this little hedgehog adorable?! Many people have these adorbs as pets, but I found out recently, that they are actually illegal in some states in the USA. Hmmm…I didn’t know that!

Fun Fact…

Some hedgehogs don’t really like the winter at all, and will even hibernate in certain areas, during the snowy winters. I can totally understand that!

So What’s New…

I wasn’t going to offer a new release for December simply because many are busy preparing for the Holidays. But…since many of our lives are very different then they were at this time last year, I thought it might bring some inspiration and joy to honor the Season of Winter.

So, among a few other new products available on this day in my Studio, we have a super cute NEW Digi Doodles Pairables Digi Set, “Winter Hedgies”!

Today, I am happy to share a slimline card I created using this adorable “Winter Hedgies” set and one of Digi Doodle Studios “Snowy Winter Days” slimline digi paper pack

Let’s Get Started…

To start this project, I sized, printed and cut all my images out using my Silhouette Die Cutting machine.

Dressed and Ready….

Mittens, hats, and snowballs of happiness in hand, these little hedgehogs are ready to be colored! I colored these little cuties, and all the other elements, with Copic Markers (full supply list below)

Background Scene…

I created “Snowy Winter Days” digi papers with my card making friends in mind who may not have time, or want, to create backgrounds for their quick or detailed slimline cards.

My vibrant blue snowy background is a printed digi paper from my “Snowy Winter Days” slimline digi paper pack.

This digi paper pack has several vibrant snowy scenes. So I decided to cut out my background paper, and my card base, using a slimline stitched die set.

Finishing Touches…

I also die cut a couple of snow drifts for my Winter Hedgies to stand on with their snowballs of happiness. I attached my hedgehogs, with double-sided foam adhesive, to give my card a little dimension.

A stitched sentiment from the same Pairables set was placed on the top of my card with double-sided foam adhesive , and my card was finished.

With a few simple finishing touches, I kept this card fairly simple this time, wouldn’t you say?!

I hope I have inspired you today to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

Happy Crafting…
