t’s Easter time which means Spring and the promise of new life after a cold seemingly dead winter!

I don’t know about you, but I am tired of looking at barren trees and gray skies!

I welcome the Spring season with joyful anticipation!

As a woman of faith, Easter means way more to me than Easter bunnies and colored eggs. But to many children, it’s an exciting time of coloring eggs, Easter baskets, and egg hunts.

Peyton’s Painted eggs is one of my Digi Doodle images inspired by a moment when my son and I decided to paint our own Easter eggs many years ago.

He was probably about 4 years old. Because my son was born a little old man, this was the age in which not only was he aware of everything around him, but the age where he was determined he was now independent and could do virtually anything (in his mind) that the big kids and adults could do.

Luckily, in this case, it was only painting eggs!

We prepared the table with drop cloths, table cloths and paper towels. We put our “paint clothes” on and let the fun begin!

Often when creating, especially with children, “Keeping it Clean” DOES NOT Apply!

It may have been one of our messier days, but it definitely was one of our best days too!

Our creative day together was my inspiration for drawing “Peyton’s Painted Eggs”. I am excited for the opportunity to share this colorful Easter card with you today!

Although I am a person who almost always makes lists and plans for just about everything, the creative side of me loves to be spontaneous and often see what will organically happen when starting a new project.

I couldn’t resist an opportunity to use my Color Bursts for this handmade card.

I think they worked well with this card, don’t you?
