Hello Friends!
Welcome back to my Studio!
Welcome…
Welcome to the Digi Doodle Studios Cloud 9 December Blog Hop and Giveway for our New Release Cloud 9 Digi Stamp Collection!

This release is simply precious and will be a perfect addition to your digi stamp collection because these cuties can be used all year round for many different occasions.
My Project Inspiration…

Chances are you have found this Hop Stop from the Digi Doodles Blog. A list of all our participants can be found at the end of this post.
Let’s Get Started…
I printed 3 Angel Nora images out on white marker paper because I wanted to color my images with Copic Alcohol Markers. Don’t worry if you don’t have marker paper, you can use cardstock or mixed media paper. I prefer to use marker paper because I get better blending results when coloring with alcohol markers.

Card base…
For my card base, I cut a piece of white card stock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 2 1/8″ to fold the opposite sides to meet in the middle.

Background…
I decided to use the “Angels On Earth” Digi Paper Collection for my floating gatefold card. I printed out a few different beautiful patterns from the pack that I knew would complement my 3 images.
I cut the pattern paper into panels for the front of the gatefold and the interior leaving a slight border. The center of my card measured 5 1/2″ sq. and I adjusted my panel to fit with a slight border.
Inside…

I die cut a few clouds, added a little color with distress ink, and attached them to the lower portion of each flap and my center.
To create my floating Angels, I offset & die cut the angels (with my die cutting machine) to fit inside my card.

I cut 2 strips of pattern paper, approximately 1″ x 5 1/4″ and scored them at 1′, 2″ and 4 1/4″. I attached my angels to these strips and folded the strips gluing one side to flap and the other to the center base.
The lower right angel was attached to the opposite flap and center panel.

Love You Forever…
This left a perfect place for a sentiment with my angels offset on opposite sides of my center panel. I used a sentiment from Digi Doodles Ink n’ Splatter Clear Stamp Set, Wooly Lambs with Distress Ink.

Finishing Touches…
Once the inside was set, I closed my card and attached only half of my angel on the left panel, so I could freely open and close my card.

I added a die cut floral border to the upper right panel and another to the lower left panel and placed a tiny rose in the center of each flower and my gatefold floating card was finished.
I hope I have inspired you today to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
