Hello Friends!
Welcome back to my Studio!
Love Your Pet Day…
Did you know it is “Love Your Pet Day” today? I didn’t, until recently. I’m sure that anyone who loves their pets as much as I do, does not need a special reminder day to love their pets, but it is fun to pay tribute….

Lilibeth…
So, in honor of “Love Your Pet Day”, I am happily sharing a card I created using Digi Doodle’s “Lilibeth’s Wagon” Digi Stamp, and our new “Hello Spring” Digi Paper Pack

My Illustration Inspiration…
The inspiration for my “Lilibeth’s Wagon” illustration came from a time when I was very young.
As the second child of 4, I often found myself playing alone. My older sibling wanted nothing to do with me. Maybe because I was too young. My two younger siblings were always being tended to by my mother.
So, I relied heavily on my own imagination, and my pets. I often wheeled my little puppy around in an old baby carriage I found down in our basement.

I loved to put little bows on her head, and stroll her around, as if we were walking through a meadow, or a park, full of happy people with bright smiling faces.
Thinking back now, I probably had way more fun dressing her up, and pretending, than she did, but she was very good natured. She always let me baby her…and as long as we were together, everything was right in the world.
Oh the beauty of innocence!
Some Things Just Fill Your Heart Without Trying…
There has never been a time in my life when I was without a pet. Most of them have been dogs, but I have had cats, and I have one now. I’ve also run the pet gamut with guinea pigs, hamsters, goldfish, frogs, turtles, and so on… even crickets…but that’s another story for another time.
I can honestly say, by far, my favorite pets have always been my puppies and my kitties!
And, if you’re a pet lover like me, you already know that they all have one thing in common….
“Some things just fill your heart without trying”

It’s so true! Most, especially dogs, will love you unconditionally, and most, if not all, are truly loyal, especially when you love them with your whole heart.
Cardmaking on Love Your Pet Day…
So with that said, creating a card for “Love Your Pet Day” was an easy decision because just as I mentioned before, I don’t need a special day to love my pet. I also don’t need an excuse to create a handmade card. I just need to find time to do it.
Today, I made the time!
So let’s get started…
I began by sizing, printing, and cutting, my digi stamp image using my die cutting machine.

Coloring…
Then, I colored my sweet little girl, and her friends, using Copic Sketch Markers and watercolors (my full supply list below)

Hello Spring Paper Pack…
Believe it or not, I had designed this card in my head before I even started creating it. But I didn’t have the papers I needed, or wanted, so I decided to create “Hello Spring”, a new digi paper pack, for this project.

These papers give a slight appearance of fabric. They are so pretty and delicate looking.
I just love them! I’m sure I will use them again and again! Hope you will too!
Card Elements…
I die cut a super cute stitched rectangle for the small background behind “Lilibeth’s Wagon” and dabbled some watercolors for a hint of a delicately implied scene.

I also die cut a leafy/heart die from pastel green parchment paper that I just happen to have in my stash. I don’t think I’ve used that paper in years…but there it was, begging to be used on this “Love Your Pet Day”!
And…it matched my card, and my “Hello Spring” papers, perfectly, don’t you think?!
I used a piece of washi tape to separate the two pattern papers and attached them to another piece of the green parchment paper using a double-sided adhesive sheet to give my base stability and dimension.
I also cut a piece of double-sided adhesive sheet to attach the water-colored background to the pattern paper base, this time for dimension, and to add interest to my card.
Sentimental Sentiment…
I chose this most fitting sentiment from Digi Doodles “Cutie Paws” Sentiment Collection.
I printed it on white cardstock and die cut it using a stitched square in keeping with the square/rectangle design of my card..

I attached my sentiment to a slightly larger stitched square that I die cut from some more of the green parchment paper to tie the design all together. Glad I found that old paper!
I added a few paper flowers and white cord, tied in a bow, and placed them, under and around, my sentiment.
I also tucked the super cute die cut leaf/hearts, under and over my image panel…

…added a few coordinating enamel dots to the bottom right corner of my card, spattered a little pink paint, and on to the sentiment panel as well…. and my card was finished!
Well that was fun!
I hope I have inspired you today to try something new, or simply create something Fabulously Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

Happy Crafting…
